About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Junior Controller to join our finance team in a unique hybrid schedule role that oversees financial operations across two vibrant casinos. This position presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to strategic financial management while gaining valuable experience in the dynamic gaming and entertainment industry.
Responsibilities
Financial Oversight and Reporting:
- Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements for both casinos.
- Coordinate month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights for decision-making.
Internal Controls and Compliance:
- Develop and enforce internal control policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Support external audit activities and address audit findings.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis reports.
Financial Systems Management:
- Maintain and optimize financial software systems and databases.
- Support system upgrades and enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Supervise and mentor finance team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
- Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Bachelors in Accounting/Finance
- 5 years of Accounting experience at a casino property
- 2 years of leadership experience
