The Thermal Acoustical Solutions segment offers a full line of innovative engineered products to assist in noise and heat abatement within the automotive and industrial markets. The business manufactures acoustical damping and thermal insulating solutions comprised of fiber and metal based composite product constructions. These products are typically found in the interior (dash insulators), underbody (wheel well, fuel tank, exhaust) and under hood (engine compartment) of passenger vehicles, heavy duty trucks, recreational vehicles as well as in other industrial applications. The segment employs approximately ~1400 employees with operations in the U.S., Germany, France and China.
Job Summary:
The Financial Analyst is responsible for business analytics and the timely and accurate development of the business budget, forecast and actual results for distribution to the senior management team and CHQ group. This includes the linkage of operational reporting and analysis with financial reporting and analysis. The role is expected to have background in financial controls, financial reporting and analysis, general and property accounting, payroll and benefit accounting, and cost accounting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the compilation of operational daily reporting by site/group and delivers updates on key P&L line items to allow transparency through all operations.
- Prepare, analyze, and report monthly/quarterly performance and identifying corrective action as necessary to ensure that the businesses are on track to achieve targets
- Pro-actively managing the annual operating plan (AOP), budgeting and forecast processes
- Proactive involvement to drive productivity and reduce operations costs
- Improvements in the use of IT systems in connection with local/corporate IT
- Works with continuous improvement resources to analyze largest savings opportunities and to develop Lean/Six-Sigma project charters and savings validations. Understands the interaction between financial systems and implementation of lean activities such as pull systems utilizing Kanban.
- Responsible for monthly actual/forecast consolidations and analysis
- Responsible for regional cash flow reporting
- Provides long-range planning support.
- Working alongside the Operations and Program Management global leaders, provide CAPEX support, ensuring business cases are consistent with the forecast.
Experience, Skills, Education and Abilities Required for Consideration as a Candidate:
- Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
- 3 years' experience in a finance role
- Heavy Excel (Must be able to fully create solutions from scratch in Microsoft Excel)
- Experience in operations, planning & analysis, strategic planning, inventory control, general ledger, audit and cost accounting
