SUMMARY : GJL Farms is seeking to add sow farm caretakers to their team in the western Missouri and Southern Iowa areas. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Ensuring sows have appropriate daily care through proper function of feed and water systems and identification of sow illness and injury.
Performing farrowing tasks including processing, vaccination, treatments of sows and piglets and day one care. Power washing and load out of weaned pigs and culls.
QUALIFICATIONS : Valid driver’s license Able to work in confinement buildings Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. Able to perform general repairs in office, yards building, and grounds WORK ENVIRONMENT : The work environment and physical characteristics are representative of those that an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.
