To develop and implement an art educational program that will effectively provide the best possible education for each student. Candidates must possess leadership and personal characteristics necessary for working effectively with students, parents, and staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Demonstrates long range planning and knowledge of subject area.
Completes daily written lesson plans which fulfill learning objectives consistent with LCS’ curricula and SOLs.
Plans for individual student differences.
Paces instruction to provide opportunities for student success.
Utilizes a variety of teaching methods.
Cooperates with other teachers to exchange ideas.
Attends meetings as required.
Maintains records as required by law and complies with state, federal, and school board policies and regulations.
Utilizes effective motivational strategies.
Maintains professionalism during stressful situations.
Sets, communicates, and maintains high standards for responsible student behavior.
The teacher will be required to follow any other instructions and perform any other duties as assigned by the principal or appropriate administrator.
