The Senior Accountant will perform various accounting duties in a shared service or subsidiary company environment.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following and may be performed personally or through others. Other duties may be assigned.
Prepares, creates and manages financial reports and financial statements
Reviews and reconciles financial statements
Liaisons with the others to ensure general ledger information is accurate and relevant
Reviews monthly system generated revenue reports and prepares complete and accurate journal entries
Prepares various other journal entries using financial and statistical data to be reviewed, validated, and uploaded in the EBS system
Reconciles balance sheet accounts
Reviews various consolidations and currency translations of financial information
Researches, documents, and applies Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in generating accounting entries.
Maintains general ledger standard operating procedures
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
3-5 years of general accounting experience required with demonstrated knowledge of revenue recognition, consolidations and foreign currency transactions. Bachelor's degree (B. A.) and/or advanced degree in accounting required. CPA is preferred, but not required.
Experience responding to complex inquiries or inquiries from auditors, customers, vendors, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.
Ability to interpret and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Advanced user of MS Office products.
Employee must have PC and software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) knowledge and experience. Employee must be flexible to work alone or as part of a team under pressure of deadlines or business volume increases.
