Job Description:
Essential duties & responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Operate presses of various sizes & types, in a safe manner, following blueprints and setup by others
- Follow prescribed practice or instructions in handling, positioning parts & operating presses
- Advise setup man or supervisor of faulty operations, need for adjustment, die replacement, repair, or sharpening
- Read route sheet, verify counter reading, record start & finish reading, indicate operations performed on ticket & record time changes
- Adhere to quality policy by checking first piece & last piece inspection & every 20th piece (first piece, 20, 40, 60, etc. & the last one) followed by filling out a green tag for EVERY work order
- Set controls for speed (coil feed)
- Set up machines according to blueprints
- Monitor the machinery
Requirements
- Able to read, write, & follow instructions
- Ability to communicate well with others
- Excellent attendance
- Experience helpful but not required
- General mathematical knowledge & proficiency with basic measuring instruments
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
