Operations Shift Supervisor

Position is responsible for performing a variety of work on a day-to-day basis in order to ensure the safe, timely, and cost effective production of high quality products while respecting the company's policies and procedures.#LI-RH1

- Ensure compliance with HSE regulation and company policies
- Participate in the implementation and follow up of the plant HSE policies.
- Follow up daily with all production lines and shifts in order to ensure compliance with HSE regulations, Goal Zero Rules of Performance, and work procedures.
- Complete behavioral safety audits, standardized audit, HELP audits, etc.
- Ensure, in collaboration with the HSE department, the plant's equipment is in safe and good operating condition on a day-to-day basis.
- Ensure that all new departmental employees obtain the required HSE related trainings.

Manage the production process:
- Manage production on a daily basis.
- Ensure the availability of all necessary resources (people, raw material, equipment, tools, etc.) in order to guarantee production.
- Monitor the production performance indicators and production scheduling, and take necessary operational decisions in case of deviations.
- Anticipate potential problems to avoid production downtime.
- Ensure the accuracy of daily production reporting (performance versus forecasts, reasons for deviations, actions taken, etc.).
- Coordinate activities with Maintenance in order to ensure the effectiveness of production and the equipment.
- Actively participate in troubleshooting and resolving with mechanical and process issues.
- Propose procedures in order to cope with the production of non-conforming products.

Manage Operator Training Program:
-Actively assess employee skills and provide training and coaching as needed.

Ensure continuous improvement and innovation:
- Collaborate with process engineering to identify problems, propose solutions, and implement improvements to production processes.
- Develop summaries and plans regarding continuous improvement ideas and activities on basis of accumulated production data and documentation.
- Develop new production processes and improve existing ones according to the manager's directives.
- Promote innovation in the plant and contribute to innovation programs.
- Collect, evaluate, and champion innovative ideas from the operators.
- Accountable for personal safety, the safety of co-workers and promoting a safe work environment; responsible for carrying out all work activities in compliance with federal and state environmental regulations

The candidate will have a working knowledge of the detailed procedures and practices of industrial manufacturing operations. Minimum of five years lead operator experiences or equivalent experience. Must be an effective communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong mathematical ability (minimum-high school level), and strong leadership skills as demonstrated through work related experience.
