About the Role
Lyra’s Mental Health Coaches are part of our innovative video and text based coaching program called Lyra Care Coaching. This program blends live video sessions with between-session digital lessons and content. We provide our state of the art technology platform and the adult clients so you can focus on what you do best: offering high-quality mental health coaching.
Daily: As a Mental Health Coach, you'll provide short-term, evidence-based coaching sessions with adults via video.
Support clients around their emotional and mental health by practicing empathy, holding a warm, safe space, exploring difficult emotions, focusing on coaching the person rather than trying to solve of fix the problem, and offering research-backed skills
Share digital lessons, activities, and assessments with your clients between video-based sessions to enhance learning and monitor client improvement
Work a structured part-time schedule hosting a minimum of 16 client sessions and working approximately 24 hours per week—time that you schedule
Engage in ongoing clinical consultation with Lyra’s expert clinical team who will help you ensure clients are in the right form of care
Participate in continuing education and ongoing peer consultation with fellow coaches
Meet regularly with your Supervisor for 1:1s, session reviews, and ongoing performance support to ensure high quality outcomes, Lyra model integration, and continued growth and development
In your first month: Enjoy comprehensive onboarding with dedicated live training sessions and self study to thoughtfully ramp up to full client caseload while deepening your coaching practice

Regularly: Lyra supports your growth with our paid ICF-certified Mental Health Coaching training and ongoing coach development opportunities, amplifying your current skill set. Lyra coaches also enjoy the diverse coaching community by connecting with peers in group consultations and attending community events.

Requirements:- Graduated from a comprehensive ACTP or ACSTH coaching program accredited by the ICF or hold an ICF-credential (Level 1, Level 2, Level 3M)
- Completed a minimum of 100 client coaching hours and at least one year post graduation
- Able to commit to approximately 24 hours per week and comfortable seeing a caseload of 16 adult clients weekly
- Commitment and willingness to provide culturally responsive care to your clients
- Willingness to learn new approaches to coaching and integrate Lyra’s evidence-based Mental Health Coaching model into your practice
- Skilled at supporting clients’ to connect with and explore difficult emotions and experiences. Ability to hold a safe, compassionate space to invite exploration of clients’ emotions. Skilled at holding space for emotions through warmth, empathy and utilizing a person focused approach. Ability to build rapport and trust. Ability to authentically connect and be present with your client in the moment

The anticipated starting base pay range for a Mental Health Coach role at Lyra is $33.00 - $38.50 per hour. The base pay range is determined by a number of job-related factors, including but not limited to the role, your skills, qualifications, and location.
At Lyra, base pay is only one aspect of an employee’s total compensation package, which may additionally include discretionary restricted stock unit awards, retirement benefits, and time off with pay. The role may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus and yearly merit increases.
