BUSINESS
Lysse was founded in 2008 by Beth Gold Cohen as a unique leggings brand. Created in her kitchen shortly after battling breast cancer, Beth loved leggings but couldn’t find anything in the market that was comfortable that provided smoothing and shaping benefits. In four short years, Beth created a loyal customer following with distribution in a few hundred independent boutiques and department stores like Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, Lord & Taylor’s and Dillard’s. Realizing she needed more help, in 2012, Beth sold a majority of the business to E&A Companies based in Indianapolis. E&A is owned by two partners and has a long history of growing small companies.

Since 2012, Lyssé has expanded to become a ready-to-wear collection featuring a wide offering of basic and fashion leggings, pants, tops, skirts, dresses and active wear. Sales have grown from $7m in 2012 to $25m in 2015. The company is headquartered in New York City and maintains a distribution facility in Indianapolis, Indiana. Indianapolis based functions are inside sales, accounting and distribution.

Wholesale customers include department stores such as Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s, Lord & Taylor, Dillard’s, Von Maur and several specialty retailers such as Anthropologie and Evereve, as well as about 1,800 independent boutiques and e-tailers. The brand also has a fast growing seven figure direct to consumer business via a company owned website (www.lysse.com).

POSITION SUMMARY

Lyssé is looking for a forklift operator to move packages and material around our facility. The ideal candidate, reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, will be operating a forklift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety. The position, located in Indianapolis requires a positive, motivated and detail-oriented employee.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places
Ability to operate a stand up reach truck in a narrow aisle facility.
Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment
Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facility
Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Ability to work in a fast paced Distribution Center environment
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to use hands or fingers, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arm; and talk or hear
Frequently stand, walk, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
Occasionally required to sit,climb or balance
Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Ability to tolerate conditions associated with no air conditioning or heat

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Proven experience as forklift operator

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
