What are the responsibilities and job description for the Used Truck Buyer position at M&K Truck Centers?
M&K Truck Centers is a multi-state leader in commercial truck sales, leasing, parts and service with over 1000 employees. The Buyer/Wholesale Manager will assist with procurement of used truck inventory, selling, buying and disposing of inventory, and assist with trade/inventory evaluations and other key essential job duties, all of which are more thoroughly detailed below.
Job Responsibilities:
- Purchases approved stock for all locations (trucks/tractors/trailers)
- Works with sales staff to locate specific equipment for immediate sale
- Ensure compliance of proper documentation for legal purchase, payment, title work, trade term agreements, etc.
- Follow up and collect payment for trade term deficiencies on purchased equipment
- Sells available inventory
- Disposes of unwanted inventory and trades
- Buying and selling of available inventory to dealers and other wholesale outlets at a profit
- Works with General Managers to dispose of aged inventory
- Appraisal / inspection of possible used truck purchases to determine condition and market value
- Attends and tracks industry auctions; tracks result to help determine wholesale and retail values
- Assist with procurement of used truck inventory
- Develops relationships with OEM dealers, transportation companies, leasing companies, etc., to acquire inventory for resale for all locations
- Travel: Approximately 30%
- Lift up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment:
The work environment will be a standard office setting for a majority of the time, with occasional visits to employee workplace locations such as, but not limited to, motor vehicle service garages, parts warehouses, and outdoor parking lots.
Position Type Expected Hours of Work
This is an Exempt role, and is a first shift, M-F 8am – 5pm position.

Salary : $60,400 - $76,500
