Hydrovac Operator

Position Title: Hydro Excavation Operator

General Purpose

The HX Operator will operate a hydro excavation truck and excavate using high water pressure and vacuum systems. This will include locating daylighting and trenching.

Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities

• Operating HX truck and maintaining truck
• Must locate utility lines
• Effective communication with on-site foremen regarding progress and safety
• Adhere to and enforce all safety standards
• Maintain organized and clean job site throughout the project.
• Participate in and promote the safety culture
• Maintain all necessary job-related certifications
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Must have CDL B with Tanker Endorsement and DOT Medical Card
• Must have experience with Hydro Excavation/Vac Trucks or Tankers
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as an individual environment
• Effective verbal communication skills
• Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
• Demonstrated ability to work with hands on tools and to work in construction related situations
• Follow instructions given both orally or in writing
• Ability to work independently, with accuracy and in accordance with company safety and quality standards
• Ability to communicate in English with other employees for the purpose of hazard recognition, problem solving, or other purposes

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
