Scale Clerk

M Luis Products, LLC., a woman / minority-owned Asphalt Manufacturing Company, has an immediate opening for a scale clerk that will support our Recycle Yard operation.

The scale clerk will be responsible for ticketing customer trucks, creating reports, and supporting the Yard Supervisor with additional administrative tasks as needed. We are looking for candidates with customer service experience (2 years preferred). Must have computer experience, including Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn in house systems. The ideal candidate has prior work history in construction, an aggregate setting, or a related field.

Job Description – Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Issue weight and product tickets to customers

- Schedule and direct trucks

- Maintain accurate daily records

- Work cooperatively with sales department, dispatch and accounting team to maintain smooth operation and flow of information

- Understand customer needs and requirements

- Answer incoming telephone calls

- Research problem tickets and properly document findings

- Convey any known customer needs and/or complaints with the appropriate people

- Order and maintain office and cleaning supplies

- Assist Yard Supervisor as required

Job Requirements:

- Must be detailed oriented, punctual, and work well within a team.

- Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions, work independently and multitask.

- Ability to communicate well with others.

- Attitude/Cooperation, must always maintain a courteous and professional manner with co-workers, customers, and public.

- Must be flexible with last minute schedule changes. Overtime work may be required.

Must have reliable transportation to Rockville, MD.
