M & M Staffing Agency is looking for an office assistant to support our client in the real estate industry. The office assistant will be responsible for handling all day-to-day tasks involved in leasing commercial property. Negotiate lease terms, and complete other related tasks. Maintain records on current leases or future lease agreements. This includes keeping track of rent payments, maintenance requests, and other relevant information.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
An Office Assistant typically has a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:
- Reviewing financial statements and other documents to verify accuracy of information
- Providing information to clients about the leasing process, including showing available units and answering questions about rental rates and terms
- Greeting clients in a friendly and professional manner, welcoming them to the facility and answering their questions about available properties
- Communicating with owners to coordinate lease signings, rent payments, maintenance requests, and other tasks related to managing rental units
- Providing administrative support to property managers and leasing agents by scheduling showings, keeping records of communication with tenants, and updating databases with new listings or lease agreements
- Coordinating with lawyers, real estate agents, and other third parties to handle legal issues such as evictions or lease disputes
- Helping potential renters to apply for housing loans through banks or other lenders
- Coordinating with management on tenant concerns or complaints
- Preparing documents such as leases, rent checks, and notices to vacate for landlords
QUALIFICAITONS
- High School diploma, GED, or suitable alternative.
- 3 work experience as a Leasing Agent or similar position.
- Proficient knowledge of real estate industry, property management principles and relevant legislation.
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.
- Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Strong people and sales skills
- Available to work extended hours.
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
