M1 Support Services is looking for a PHP Developer with the following knowledge and experience:
Do you have a passion for aviation and a talent for building robust web applications? We're seeking a highly skilled PHP Developer to join our team and develop innovative solutions to streamline our military aviation maintenance operations.
***Please note; this position is in-office. It is neither remote, nor hybrid.**
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level web applications using Laravel framework.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, & operations) to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code.
- Thoroughly test and debug applications both manually and using automated tests to ensure bug free releases.
- Optimize code performance to be scalable for high traffic loads and/or large datasets.
- Adhere to version control and release management processes.
- Troubleshoot and debug any issues that may arise. Provide technical support as needed.
- Utilize database technologies (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL) to store and manage aviation maintenance data.
- Implement data visualization and analytics tools to generate insightful reports. (PowerBI)
- Leverage experience with military aviation maintenance software (e.g., AMMS, MMORPG) to ensure solutions align with industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a PHP developer with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
- Proven experience building web applications using Laravel, Symfony or Yii.
- 3 years using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (preferably JQuery)
- Strong experience with SQL (MySQL, MSSQL, etc) and writing complex queries.
- Familiarity with git.
- Experience using Composer and npm or other package managers.
- Experience writing automated tests (unit, integration, etc.). Familiarity with building and interacting with RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and software development principles.
- Familiarity with data visualization and analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- A plus: Experience working within the military aviation industry or related domain (e.g., aerospace, defense).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
In addition, the candidate should possess the following skills and knowledge:
Desired Skills: Linux, Azure (GCCH) Nginx Jira Familiarity with writing CI/CD scripts Military experience a plus -
Candidates must be able to pass a background check to obtain DoD Security clearance.
