Due to our continued growth, we are hiring for a Senior Editor at MDLinx, an M3 company.

Job Description

This person will be responsible for working directly with the VP of Content and the Associate Editorial Director to execute content strategy, support original content production, uphold brand voice and guidelines, and drive innovation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Including, but not limited, to the following:

• Edit and publish original content submitted by freelance writers, ensuring it adheres to the brand’s quality standards and voice.
• Develop turkey original content, including coverage of breaking news and editorial exclusives.
• Manage relationships with medical writers and reviewers, helping recruit, onboard, and communicate changes as needed.
• Support unique editorial projects, including editorial tentpole ideation and execution and partnership opportunities.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to shared content goals and strategy.

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience editing medical-focused content online, with deep understanding of how to optimize articles for engaging online reading.
• 2 years of experience working with medical writers, with strong communication skills and ability to provide clear direction and feedback.
• Exceptional editing skills, with strong understanding of grammar, punctuation, copyediting, and AMA style.
• Strong understanding of the healthcare professional audience, and interest in serving them.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver on time, with exceptional time management skills.
• A content and solutions-oriented mindset, easily able to restructure and pivot article direction as needed.
• Strong copywriter, capable of writing engaging, lively headlines and blurbs, all the while keeping the MDLinx voice in mind.
