Job Posting for Fabrication Welder at MAAC Machinery
Rate of Pay: $18.00 to $22.00 per hour (paid weekly)
Overtime Rate: $27.00 to $33.00 per hour
1st Shift Schedule: Monday thru Friday; 7:00am to 3:30pm
Overtime always available; paid breaks
JOB SUMMARY: The primary tasks of the Fabrication Welder involve building machine frames and components out of structural steel, followed by tearing down completed machines to prepare for transport.
- MIG welding and fabrication of machine frames and components that consist of light gauge sheet metal to heavy gauge tube, flat bar and I-Beam
- Fabricating industrial ovens, safety guarding, vacuum tanks, swing doors, fan brackets, catwalks
- Grinding and finishing completed products
- Perform quality checks on finished components
- Installing finished components into machine structures
- Disassembling machines for painting and shipping
- Material handling with sit-down forklifts and overhead cranes

DESIRED SKILLS:
- MIG welding and/or fabrication experience
- Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints (or ability to learn)
- Experience with saws, shears, drill presses, forklifts, and cranes are a plus
