Position Title: Business Development Manager Department: Producer Relations Reports to: National Sales Manager Compensation: Base Salary range: $50,000 - $70,000; Commensurate to Skills and experience. Successful Commissions could add $25,000 - $125,000 Hours:  Full time: Travel 50% of the time, and office hours to be confirmed with the supervisor. The Company designs, develops, constructs, and operates biogas renewable energy generation systems, primarily on dairy farms. Our projects include anaerobic digesters, biogas-powered electric generation, renewable natural gas upgrading. Position Description:   Maas Energy Work is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager  to join our Producer Relations team. As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in developing multi-decade renewable energy infrastructure projects on dairy, swine and beef farms.  The Business Development Manager will travel 50% of the time and work across multiple states in the United States to generate new leads, and develop the sales leads given to them. This role will involve gathering farm information from property owners, creating preliminary designs, creating budgets, pro-formas, and offers for use during meetings with potential customers. The Business Development Manager will also manage contracts development and negotiation until the final contracts are executed. This is a fast-growing company in a developing industry that requires someone who has a strong ability to learn quickly and who is passionate about sales.  Responsibilities: Find dairy, beef, and swine manure digester opportunities. Build relationships with stakeholders and successfully move projects from sales prospect to contracted project. Negotiate payment structures, designs, and contracts with prospects. Create Budget proposals and Pro-Formas. Create preliminary drawings through Google Earth. Field phone and email inquiries regarding offers and agreements. Ensure that communications and progress are properly recorded in the Company database, and regularly reported to the National Sales Manager. Manage contract progress to completion including corresponding with all parties involved. Qualifications & Skills: Self-Motivated Outgoing Organized Willingness to Learn Travel 50% of the time 3 Years Experience in Sales Agricultural background preferred, but not required Must be proficient in English Physical Demands Requirements: Work EnvironmentThis job mainly operates in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Physical DemandsThis is largely a sedentary role, however some travel is required. This would require the ability to enter, travel in, and exit vehicles and airplanes.
