What are the responsibilities and job description for the Valet Attendant position at Mac Properties?
Mac Properties is a dynamic and growing private residential real estate company with operations in the metropolitan areas of Chicago, St. Louis and Kansas City.
Our Valet Attendants are responsible for the day-to-day functions of all resident services including maintenance service vendor activity, common area projects and maintenance, and resident communications. They consistently exceed industry standards with outstanding customer service through prompt and courteous service to maximize resident satisfaction.
This position is full-time and the schedule for this position is Monday - Friday 3pm-11:30pm
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Warmly greet prospective residents and guests by name. Professionally represent the Mac community.
- Assist customers in lobbies, lanes and in the parking office; help direct traffic. Allow resident access to garage, as appropriate.
- Maintain the lot, keeping it free from debris.
- Spread salt on lots during winter months.
- Patrol both lots for parking in all climates.
- Promote good customer relations by consistently providing premier customer satisfaction with a friendly demeanor, can-do attitude, and willingness to help at all times.
- Communicate all issues with supervisor or Regional Property Manager.
- Attend any training classes/meetings as required or recommended by management.
- Know and adhere to all federal, state, and local laws, as well as policies and procedures contained in the manuals issued by MAC Property Management or as otherwise communicated (verbally or in writing) to all associates.
- Performs other related duties and assignments as required
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Valid drivers’ license required.
- Ability to drive stick shift
- Parking industry experience a plus.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Exceptional customer service and follow-through skills.
- Strong organization skills, multi-task and detail oriented.
- Retains composure within an occasionally stressful environment.
- Outgoing personality – enjoys interaction with residents.
- Self-motivated, have ability to set priorities, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to interact with management, peers, residents and prospects in a professional and courteous manner.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
