Position Overview The Manager – Partnerships and Fundraising position reports to the Executive Director. The position is responsible for maximizing sponsorship and fundraising revenue for the club by creating, selling, and managing corporate partnerships and implementing innovative fundraising strategies that drive philanthropic donations to address club needs and priorities.
Essential Job Functions Sponsorship
Secure sponsors and strategic partnerships for Miami Athletic Club
Reach sponsorship sales goals by securing lasting and high value partnerships with top partners
Champion the value and reach of Miami Athletic Club to relevant industries and potential partners, engaging research, market knowledge, and your sincere passion for the power of sports
Drive full lifecycle of sponsorship sales process from identifying potential partners to contract fulfillment
Develop and maintain trusting relationships with key decision makers and respective advertising agencies of current and potential partners
Create innovative strategic partnership programs that exceed partner expectations and brand goals, aiming for integrated packages encompassing all mediums – experiential, social media, venue assets, etc.
Lead the development and delivery of proposals
Provide accurate, reliable information for sales forecasts and inventory management reports
Fundraising
Implement initiatives to grow and maintain a culture of philanthropic support for Miami Athletic Club
Responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors/prospects for major gifts
Work with the Executive Director to establish fundraising goals, objectives, and campaign strategies
Develop detailed gift opportunities plan tailored towards the interest of potential major donors, consistent with established club needs and priorities
Carry a major gift portfolio of donors while making an assigned number of personal visits and work toward defined goals of asks and dollars raised
Conduct in-person meetings with donors and prospects to meet monthly prospecting goals
Requirements
A college degree or commensurate development and/or sales experience within a sports or non-profit environment
High level of motivation in reaching aggressive sales and fundraising goals
Ability to simultaneously organize and execute multiple projects, tasks and responsibilities.
Sound experience in Word, PowerPoint, Excel and other programs strongly desired
Experience managing special events
Must possess excellent verbal, phone and written communication skills
Must be detail oriented, self-starter with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude
Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and willing to travel within the region as needed
Compensation and Employment Terms
Base salary commensurate with experience plus commission
