We are looking for experienced Service Technicians to perform maintenance, repairs and service activities, including refurbishments, upgrades, preventative maintenance and corrective actions on Rapp Marine, MacGregor and equivalent equipment. Maintaining productive team and customer relationships as well as ensuring Best Practices are applied in all service related activities.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

· Work with lead mechanics onboard fishing vessels and in the marine shop. Remove heavy equipment and rebuild.

· Maintain equipment with hydraulic and electrical systems, follow technical drawing, sketches, operation manuals, engineering specifications and class requirements.

· Perform maintenance and repairs on shipboard equipment (e.g. cranes, stern ramps, hatch covers, and wenches)

· Perform repairs on more advanced shipboard equipment as needed.

· Perform breakdown analysis

· Safety & Audit standards

· Work independently under limited supervision (self-management)

· Complete documentation of work schedule and work tasks completed

What you will need to succeed:

Education:

· Commercial or technical background preferred

· Minimum requirement: high school diploma or GED (Required)

Experience:

· At least (1) year of experience in mechanical and electrical trouble-shooting and equipment repairs.

· Experience with mechanical systems

· Experience with conveyors

· Experience with pumps

· Experience rigging large equipment

· Able to read and understand hydraulic and electrical schematics

· Experience in maritime, commercial, and/or large electronic equipment (a plus)

Required:

· Must have valid Driver’s License

· Must have and be able to maintain valid Passport & TWIC Card

· Must pass DOT physical post job offer (before employment begins)

Pay: $25.00 - $33.00 per hour
