Pump Truck Operator

Mack Industries is looking for Class A or B CDL drivers to add to our Septic Service Division. In this position one will operate a septic tanker truck to service residential septic systems around Northeast Ohio.

Experience in septic systems not required, Mack Industries will train.

Local Travel, home in the evenings and on the weekends

Must be 21 years of age

Essential Functions

• Safely and efficiently operate pumps and pump tanks
• Use equipment and resources needed to safely locate, access and pump tanks
• Troubleshoot issues with septic systems, communicate needs with customers and service
• Transport wastewater from designated sites to local dump sites
• Follow company and DOT safety regulations
• Knowledge in transporting wastewater in accordance with State and Federal regulations
• Performs onsite customer service tasks such as data input, payment collection and interacting with customers
• Reports all safety violations and incidents to Management
• Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment before leaving the facility and/or job sites
• Willingness to develop new skills and progress current skills
• Willingness to assist other departments as needed

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum 1 years’ experience
• Knowledge in pump and septic tank cleaning and troubleshooting, a plus but not required
• Valid CDL Class A or B Driver’s License with no restrictions
• Manual endorsement required
• Clean personal driving record preferred
• Tanker endorsement a plus not required
• Septic tank driver experience a plus but not required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to receive or have Hep A & B Vaccines

Environment Conditions and Physical Strain

• Construction environment, seasonal weather conditions
• Due to the nature of the operation, the levels of noise, dust and dirt can be high.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., on occasion
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to squat, crawl and kneel to complete tasks
