Job Summary
$3,000 hiring bonus!! $1,500 paid after 3 months, $1,500 paid after 6 months.
Performs work associated with both set-up and plastic processing functions.
Job Duties
· Perform all required setup activities to ensure the molding process meets the requirements
· Document processing changes, adjustments, problems or other action taken and notify quality department for any possible dimensioning re-verification and visual criteria needed due to process changes
· Perform visual quality checks and monitor press cycle times; make changes as needed to improve or enhance product quality and efficiencies following proper change notifications
· Perform startup operations on all machines and equipment (i.e., Grinders, Dryers, etc.)
· Effectively troubleshoot processing concerns
· Test and inspect machines to determine safe and efficient operation
· Read and interpret blueprints, engineering specifications and shop orders to determine machine setup, production methods and sequence of operation when applicable
· Perform complex troubleshooting of equipment/tooling and perform adjustments
· Operate powered industrial equipment if needed
· Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately
· Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
· Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
· Perform other duties as assigned
Experience and Education
· Perform work under minimal supervision
· Handle complex issues and problems and refer only the most complex issues to higher level staff
· Possess comprehensive working knowledge of subject matter
· Typically require a 2-year technical degree or equivalent and 4 to 6 years of years of experience in plastic injection molding; experience driving powered industrial equipment preferred
· Powered industrial equipment certification preferred
· Provide leadership, coaching and/or mentoring to a subordinate group
