Job Description Title: Production Associate Labor Grade: 2 Revision: A Revision Date: 6/10/2013 Responsibilities 1 Maintain a safe and clean work area per 6S standards. 2 Refer unusual or unsafe conditions to supervisor. 3 Maintain proper documentation and communications to ensure efficient coordination between shifts and departments (e.g. quality, engineering, maintenance) 4 Orient when requested by supervisor. 5 Lead when mutually agreed. 6 Orient and/or lead when requested by supervisor. 7 Comply with all Quality Management System procedures and work instructions. 8 Perform other related duties as requested by supervisor. CHIPMAN/CLEANOUT. 8 Exchange chip and swarf carts. 9 Operate and maintain chip spinner(s). 10 Pick up bar ends, scrap, filter bags and oily cardboards. 11 Responsible for segregation and distribution of various materials into various containers to prevent mixing. 12 Drain, clean out and refill machines, washers and dip tanks. 13 Operate and maintain cleanout cart. 14 Drain oil from drip pans/skids. 15 Responsible for storage and distribution of cutting oils. GENERAL LABORER. 16 Assist maintenance department in general labor maintenance type projects. 17 Inside/Outside cleanup and property maintenance. 18 Scraping and painting. 19 Straightening and organizing. BENCH INSPECTOR. 20 Have a basic knowledge of gauging and instruments. 21 Be able to understand very direct, simple instructions regarding the use of equipment, gaging and instruments, such as eddy current. 22 100% sort parts for both visual and dimensional defects, with high standards of quality and quantity. 23 Responsible and accountable for parts inspected. 24 Record and maintain inspection information. 25 Hand load and hand pack. 26 Simple hand assembly. 27 Hand deburr by hand or using equipment such as belt sander, wire wheel, push pull motor or other similar equipment.
