MACOM sells and distributes products globally via a sales channel comprised of a direct field sales force, authorized sales representatives and leading industry distributors. Our sales team is trained across all of our products to give our customers insights into our entire portfolio.

The Linear Photonics division of MACOM is a leading supplier of RF on fiber analog communications equipment. Our products include modules with bandwidths up to 60 GHz and are designed for both commercial and harsh environments. In addition, a unique line of time and frequency distribution systems have been developed.

Description:

Senior electrical engineer with experience in the design of solid-state power amplifiers at RF, microwave, and millimeter-wave frequencies. Strong knowledge of analog control circuits, RF hardware, and systems including linear small signal and high-power amplifiers.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience designing UHF, microwave, or millimeter-wave solid-state amplifiers.
  • Designing efficient switching power supplies and analog control circuits.
  • Experience in the use of design tools such as Microwave Office, ADS, LTspice, or other similar tools.
  • Understanding of microprocessor-controlled systems.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve highly complex technical problems quickly and independently.
  • Design experience in meeting Military and High -Rel requirements is desired.
  • Ability to work onsite with a team including mechanical engineers, process engineers, and electrical engineers.
  • Ability to work in a lab environment to test and verify amplifier designs against rigid specifications.
  • Must be able to clearly communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • BS degree in electrical engineering or equivalent and 6 years of applicable experience is desired.
  • Due to ITAR regulations, the candidate must be a US person.
