Engineering Lab Technician
Job Description
- Perform PCB assembly using hot plate and heat gun to maintain quality builds.
- Background in PCB repair and modification is a plus.
- The ability to solder small case size (01005 and 0201) components to evaluation boards or within package with use of a microscope is desired.
- Desirable to have a background working with RF and microwave products that operate from DC to 18 GHz. Product background should consist of a working knowledge of driver amplifiers, low noise amplifiers, and high-power amplifiers.
- Requires working with designers to support tuning/improving/changing the products mentioned to present solutions for desired customer/engineering requirements.
- Use of lumped elements such as capacitors, inductors, and resistors to perform product tuning or enhancement as well as transmission line tuning is desired.
- Knowledge in the use of a laser to modify MMIC circuitry would be desirable.
- Thorough understanding of a variety of microwave measurements which include but are not limited to IP3, IP2, P1dB, harmonics, DC and/or RF pulse power, S-Parameters, ACPR, EVM, isolation, group delay, and stability testing.
- Desirable to have a background and a working knowledge to operate and perform test setups using such equipment as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, pulse generators, power supplies, power meters/sensors, and multi-meters.
- Ability to solve problems independently as well as in a team environment.
- Maintain a clean workspace and help organize lab/stock when needed
- Troubleshooting both to the component level and test system setups and applying solid problem-solving techniques to resolve issues in a timely manner are expected.
- Understanding of IC layouts, circuit schematics, and block diagrams are desired for this position to help support communication with designers.

Qualifications
- Working knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is expected.
- Associate's degree in Electronics is a plus or 3 years assembly and measurement experience is required for this position.
