Process Engineer Senior, SMT - 2nd Shift
We are searching for a Surface Mount Process Engineer to join our production team and take pride in delivering fast to market products.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to Program and Operate SMT equipment including MYDATA Pick and Place systems AOI, SPI, and X-ray
- Program and Operate Convection Oven, as well as develop Oven Profiles
- Inspect printing and component placement and ensure proper corrections are acknowledged/performed
- Knowledge of selective soldering equipment is a plus.
- Responsible for working with Design Engineers to improve manufacturability
- Responsible for Continuous Product Manufacturability Improvements including Corrective Action and Six-Sigma and/or other problem-solving methodologies in a manufacturing environment
- When needed perform all routine maintenance necessary for all the SMT equipment
Technical Background:
- Experience in handling SMT components, boards, and tools for assembly
- Experience with SMT Line Printer to Oven and all additional equipment in between
- Experience writing and following manufacturing documentation and procedures.
- Experience following quality standard and inspection requirements to IPC 610 A Class III
- Able to read and understand engineering bill of materials and drawings
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Engineering (all types considered)
- Experience with the process of assembling PCB's
- Working knowledge of SMT Pick and Place machine equipment and Convection reflow Ovens
- Strong knowledge SMT components, boards, and tools for assembly
- Experience writing and following manufacturing documentation and procedures
- Experience following quality standard and inspection requirements to IPC 610 A Class III and ISO 9001:2015 Standards
- Able to read and understand engineering bill of materials and drawings
- Exhibit sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating company personnel
- Demonstrated ability in applying SPC, Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing
- Ability to understand, analyze, and resolve complex technical problems
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
