Responsibilities
- Facilitate the Scrum process
- Acted as a scrum master on software development projects.
- Remove impediments: The Scrum Master is responsible for identifying and removing any impediments that may be preventing the team from delivering value. This could include anything from technical issues to team dynamics.
- Coach the team: The Scrum Master is responsible for coaching the team on Scrum principles and practices.
- Protect the team: The Scrum Master is responsible for protecting the team from outside distractions and interruptions.
- Facilitate communication: The Scrum Master is responsible for ensuring that there is clear communication between the team, the Product Owner, and any other stakeholders.
- Ensure transparency: The Scrum Master is responsible for ensuring that the team's progress is transparent to all stakeholders. This includes maintaining a visible product backlog and burn-down chart.
- Federal agency requires ship
- BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Must be a Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
- Proficient communication, facilitation, mediation, and verbal and written communication skills to be demonstrated upon interview. Client-facing skills are required for position
- Has been active at organizing and conducting all agile ceremonies (Scrums, Backlog grooming, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives)
- At least 2-3 years as a scrum master
- Must have high attention to detail and an ability to follow detailed Standard Operating Procedures.
- Must have experience working with multiple projects and project teams simultaneously.
- Must have excellent time management and task prioritization skills.
- Must have customer-centric service delivery focus.
- Candidates must be able to pass a criminal and financial background investigation.
- Experience working in a financial development team.
- Experience using Team Foundation Server (TFS).
- Experience working directly with technical and business teams.
