Full Time Night Driver Courier Athens
MACS is currently looking for a Full time delivery driver. We are in need of friendly, customer oriented and safety minded individuals.
Hours are 5 : 00 pm to 1 : 30 am Monday - Friday and Saturday 11 : 30 am to 8 : 00 pm (Rotating 1-2 days off)
Job Requirements
- Basic computer skills
- Be able to read and write in English
- Possess / maintain valid Alabama driver’s license
- Pass Pre-Employment Drug Screen
- Pass / possess / maintain Department of Transportation Certificate of Medical Fitness
- Have reliable transportation to and from work
- Possess and maintain an acceptable MVR
- Possess and maintain a clean criminal record
- Be familiar with the local area / roads / landmarks
- Be able to read and follow directions / read a map
- Follow all local traffic laws
- Possess good customer relations and communication skills
- Be self-motivated and capable of driving alone for lengths of 6-10 hours at a time
- Drive long distances per Day, 250 500 miles, depending on route
- Be able to drive a passenger vehicle
- Be able to safely operate the following vehicle types : economy car, pickup truck, minivan,cargo van,
- Be able to lift (with hand truck assistance) : 50 pounds
- Be able to drive after dark
- Be flexible with work schedule / acceptable to change
Add when necessary (at MACS cost) b. Be knowledgeable and physically able to change a tire if needed.
- Follow all local and state traffic laws in areas traveled
- Meet or exceed ALL Deadlines with a 98% on-time accuracy
