Mad Mobile is looking for a Program Manager & Governance Lead to support the Payments Business Unit. This candidate will work closely with internal teams, external processors, and banking partners to manage strategic and business critical initiatives. The Lead will be a key contributor in how the payments program management and governance framework is developed but will initially be expected to roll up their sleeves for basic project management tasks. The right candidate should have a strong background in program and project management in the payments industry and be the voice of reason when managing and prioritizing multiple projects and its stakeholders.
Core Responsibilities
- Oversees strategic initiatives to align growth of the Payments Business; having influence over the direction of the initiatives; and driving operational excellence; e.g., training, audits, new products
- Manage multiple projects by developing project plans and scorecards for all work streams to ensure all stakeholders are meeting objectives and deadlines in a timely manner
- Work with internal data teams to develop meaningful KPIs for reporting and assist with drawing insights and interpreting the results
- Drafts governance program policies for the Payments Business including Board, Executive and Council level meeting cadence, charters, assignments, meeting notes, signatory rights
- Documentation of key controls and processes
- Work in partnership with management and leadership to ensure resources are appropriately allocated to meet key project needs
- Aligns team on change management efforts; act as the primary for the line of business to facilitate change management activities
- Ensure cross-functional collaboration between implementations, sales, finance, compliance, operations, engineering, customer success and product
- Facilitates meetings and ensures agendas, meeting minutes and action items are followed through so stakeholders are held accountable
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5-8 years experience in program and project management
- 2 years of people management
- Exceptional interpersonal skills in creating and maintaining relationships
- Experience at a bank and/or payments processor supporting the merchant acquiring business
- Strong Microsoft Office and JIRA knowledge
- PMP or PMI certified
Nice to Have
- Working knowledge or interest in data analysis tools (e.g. DOMO, Snowflake)
- Restaurant and/or retail industry experience
- Preferred Tampa, FL based candidate
