Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a mechanically inclined individual for a Mechanic/Yard Helper at a construction fleet yard in Banks, OR. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work with a variety of construction equipment, perform preventive maintenance (PMs), and gain hands-on experience with repairs. In addition to equipment maintenance, you will assist with yard operations, including material handling and organizing.
Pay: $24-$26/hr
Mechanic/Yard Helper Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on construction equipment including loaders, dozers, pavers, lifts, fleet vehicles, and more.
- Assist in the repair of diesel engines and hydraulic systems.
- Handle material organization and ensure the yard is orderly and well-maintained.
- Load and unload materials and equipment efficiently and safely.
- Support various yard operations as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
Mechanic/Yard Helper Qualifications:
- Mechanically inclined with a basic understanding of construction equipment maintenance and repair.
- Experience with diesel engines and hydraulics is a plus.
- Ability to perform preventive maintenance tasks and a willingness to learn and develop repair skills.
- Some material handling experience, including loading and unloading equipment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to handle the demands of yard work and equipment maintenance.
Compensation and Benefits:
