OVERVIEW:

The Accounts Payable Clerk reports directly to the Accounting Manager and is responsible for supporting the Finance team.

ROLE SUMMARY:

Meets the needs of our managers and employees by providing quick and accurate service in a professional manner. Completes accounts payable duties according to established company policies and procedures. Posts appropriate entries in accounting and Accounts Payable systems. Performs other accounting duties as required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Enter Accounts Payable invoices into the accounting system

Prepare payment batches in the billpay software

Update internal spreadsheets

File invoices electronically

Respond to payment requests and assist in research

Participate in ad-hoc calls with team members throughout the day

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Required:

Proficiency in computers and information technology

Strong math/accounting skills

Intermediate Excel skills

Ability to multitask and meet deadlines

High School diploma or equivalent required

Must be able to sit or stand for at least 8 hours
