What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fabric Coordinator position at Madewell?
Overview:
To assist in managing fabric research & development, sample fabric buying into the pre-production process under the direction of the Sr. Fabric Associate.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, update & organize seasonal fabric library/

Fabric Data Entry into PLM
- Generate new material ID’s in PLM
- Review fabric information sheets (FDS/QPS) which contain all specific fabric information needing uploaded into PLM.
- Generate sample fabric PO’s in PLM
- Execute seasonal fabric development orders within calendar parameters.
- Create and maintain all seasonal fabric binders including fabric headers, s/y cuttings, bulk cuttings, and any additional fabrics worked (for costing, sustainable development etc.)
- Organize all adopted prints within proper print/color family for seasonal bulk standardization meetings with head of CAD and Design.
- Own accurate and timely data entry.
- Gather data to support various Raw Material analyses
- Assist with tracking and tracing sustainable attributes
- Assist with fabric testing protocol
Qualifications
- Must have- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail
- PLM experience is a plus!
