Madison Avenue Worldwide is new to Minneapolis and we are hiring!! We are an advertising agency that specializes in high-volume graphic design. We work with billion-dollar brands such as The Walt Disney Company, AT&T and the NBA.
We are looking for a detail-oriented Proofreader/Ad Trafficker to join the Madison Avenue team. You must be proficient in basic and advanced grammar rules and understand how they are used within our clients' style guides. Our ideal candidate is meticulous in reviewing copy, noting errors such as punctuation, spelling, and word usage, and knows how to check statements for accuracy or potential plagiarism. You must communicate effectively with the clients and other staff to ensure documents meet all client guidelines.

Proofreader/Ad Trafficker Duties and Responsibilities

Proofread text and edit text at various stages of the writing process and in response to feedback from writers or creative directors

Traffic creative both internally and externally via client project management software

Review documents for grammar, spelling, and style

Communicate within the company with creative directors or other interested parties via email, telephone calls, or in person

Fact-check dates and other statements for accuracy

Ensure brand standards and nomenclature are adhered to

Confirm all submitted writing is original

Ensure text meets tone and character count

Make corrections and suggest edits to the document

Meet proofreading deadlines
Proofreader/Ad Trafficker Requirements and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in relevant experience

Familiarity with AP and other style guides is a plus

Excellent grammar and communication skills in the English language

Strong Proficiency in basic computer programs, such as Microsoft Office

Experience with Mac Computers

Ability to remain detailed-oriented and focused when processing large amounts of text

Willingness to collaborate with a creative team of writers, graphic designers, and others

Basic knowledge of legal issues involved in publishing, such as libel and plagiarism

Mastery of spelling, grammar and punctuation errors, and ability to make constructive suggestions
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $50,000 - $60,000 per year
