About the position: As a Housekeeper at Madison Health, you will be responsible for all functions of Café serving on café line, stocking warehouse, and washing dishes. Assisting in the preparation of tray line for patients and other customers. Shift is 11:00am to 7:30pm, with availability every other weekend.
Key job qualities/duties:
- Performs day to day food preparation functions to ensure meals and snacks are palatable and appetizing in appearance. Provides customers with exceptional dining experience.
- Assembles and serves meal according to diet orders, menus and patient/guest specific requirements. Mediates patient/family concerns regarding meal service.
- Performs sanitation for assigned work area and stock area as needed to meet department needs. Follows State Health codes for safe and proper preparation, labeling, handling and storage of food items.
- Assists with the preparation, cooking and assembly of meals in accordance with the menu in safe and sanitary manner. Ensures proper preparation and portioning of foods according to standardized recipes and menu.
- Assumes the role of a patient advocate with respect to the Room Service program. Instructs patients and families on meal ordering system. Assesses patients' ability to utilize the meal ordering system and follow up with appropriate staff member if unable to participate. Communicates with nursing staff, dietitians and director with any suggestions for improving meal service to the patients. Serves as a quality control assurance point of every aspect of the room service program.
- Ensures accurate fulfillment of orders and checks food quality. Returns food that does into meet quality standards such as temperature, color, and doneness.
What qualifications are we looking for?
