Pharmacy customer service representative

Madison Pharmacy & Homecare is a small fast growing family business in Madison, NC. We are professional, agile customer-centered, and our goal is to provide a supportive work environment and long-term employment. There is potential for raise and growth opportunities, plus yearly bonuses.

Duties:

- Assist pharmacists in providing patient care and services
- Perform various tasks related to patient service and support
- Maintain inventory and stock gift shop
- Operate pharmacy POS system and software systems
- manage gift shop customers
- Adhere to all legal and ethical standards in pharmacy practice

Responsibilities: -

  • Support the Operation Supervisor with Inventory Control,
  • Process purchases, orders, returns, and exchanges in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Upsell and cross-sell products or services to customers when appropriate
  • Stay up-to-date on product knowledge and industry trends to better assist customers

This position is also responsible to perform all front store/gift shop cashier functions using our Pioneer POS systems. Provide outstanding, customer service functions including greeting customers as they enter the store, answer phone calls within 3 rings using our standard greeting. Count down and reconcile cash draw daily, Tag, retag item price and reprice all merchandise as needed. Assist the pharmacy staff and finance coordinator as needed. Customer transactions daily analysis and reconciliation for various customer financial transactions as needed. Assist with business office staff as needed. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and analysis - Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers, vendors and coworkers. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive patient and financial information. Other duties may be assigned as needed. REQUIREMENTS

  • RELIABLE AND FRIENDLY TEAM PLAYER
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to handle difficult or irate customers with professionalism and empathy
  • Proficient in using computer systems and software applications
  • Previous experience in customer service or technical sales is preferred, but not required
