What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Receptionist, Experience REQUIRED position at Madison Primary Care?
Scheduler:
- Assist patients by scheduling, canceling, or rescheduling necessary appointments, ensuring that all necessary information is relayed to patients and providers.
- Maintain and update schedule of providers’ availability; notify any patients of any scheduling changes.
- Maintain the patient's electronic medical record with accuracy; update demographics and insurance information as necessary.
- Respond to inquiries from patients regarding needed information or preparation for appointments.
- Dependability, and the ability to be at work regularly and on time.
- Other duties as assigned.
Front Desk Receptionist:
- Greet any and all patients and visitors; alert appropriate personnel to any visitors or patients that are in the lobby.
- Keep lobby and clinics running smoothly by alerting necessary personnel of patients or visitors in the lobby.
- Ensure proper documentation and information are listed correctly in the patient medical records by reviewing with patients upon arrival.
- Maintain patient account information by confirming insurance coverage and collecting any necessary copays.
Qualifications
- Must be able to multi-task and have a commitment to excellence in patient care.
- Must be organized, and able to shift between tasks quickly and efficiently.
- Must be able to interact well with patients, coworkers, and management.
