The office Medical Assistants must oversee various tasks to ensure that the back medical office is running successfully, and practice goals are being met. The position requires knowledge of healthcare systems operations. Medical Assistants must be able to think creatively, solve problems, work efficiently and have excellent organizational skills to handle the myriad of duties required. Ultimately, the Medical Assistant must be able to ensure steady workflows and uninterrupted service in the delivery of medical care.
Medical Assistants must display strong organizational, team building, decision making, and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills are also essential. The position requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to be a team player. Medical assistants must be proficient in using all back-office equipment as well as all computer/EHR programs utilized in day-to-day operations.
With training, direct consultation & guidance, the Medical Assistant should be able to execute all back-office day-to-day operations in their duties to fulfill the vision of the practice in all regards. Over your 90 day orientation, you will be given training and goals. At any time during your employment, you are encouraged to, and may seek clarification or additional training in any area.
