We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Food Service Assistant at our following clubhouses:

- Pinkerton Clubhosue - Harlem, NY
This is a part-time position working up to 25 hours a week Monday through Friday in the afternoon and evening.
The selected candidate will be responsible for preparing lunch and other food to club members in a courteous customer service oriented manner. Organize and set up equipment and workstations. Perform duties following health, food service, government and other regulations. Demonstrate proper equipment operation skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Practice personal hygiene and proper sanitation procedures.
- Turn on, test and monitor equipment at the beginning of the day.
- Food preparation according to written and oral instructions.
- Serve lunch, dinner and a la carte items.
- Monitor food and equipment temperatures at all times.
- Exhibit courtesy and understanding to club members.
- Perform dishwashing duties of cooking, serving and eating utensils tools.
- Set up and break down of serving areas.
- Receive, stock and rotate incoming and outgoing inventory.
- Participate in formal and informal training.
- Demonstrate knowledge of sanitation practices.
- Exhibit the professional behavior of a reliable employee.
- Perform preparation duties for the next day.
- Maintain a neat, clean and safe work environment.
- Participate in special events for club members and community.
- Oversee daily club member cafeteria sign-in and handwashing practices
Required Skills/Knowledge:
- High school diploma is required.
- General knowledge of the use or care of food preparation equipment.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and club members.
- Ability to promote healthy eating in a creative manner.
- As a condition of employment, employees must have proof that they are fully vaccinated for COVID-19. You are considered fully vaccinated two weeks after receiving the second dose in a two-dose vaccine series, or two weeks after receiving a single-dose vaccine.
