Who You Are

You are at the forefront of XR technology, integrating detailed 3D models from real-world objects and environments into Unreal Engine for immersive XR experiences. You are passionate about pushing the boundaries of 3D modeling and have a knack for detailed, realistic textures, we want you on our team.

What You’ll Do

You’ll be working as part of an integrated team to shorten the runway between smart, interesting brands and beautiful creative that can work in any medium. Reporting directly to our Vice President, Technology, you’ll act as the key person for bringing 3D models to life in our XR studio and experiential work.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Utilize Artec Leo and Artec Ray2 scanners to capture high-resolution 3D models of various scales, from small objects to expansive city streets.
• Process and refine 3D scans using advanced photogrammetry techniques to achieve realistic textural and structural details.
• Import and optimize 3D models in Unreal Engine for use in XR studios.
• Create detailed character models, props, and set pieces as required for various XR projects.
• Create detailed 3D models of environments and objects, ensuring they are accurate and optimized for animation and rendering. 
• Travel up to 40% of the time.
• Develop high-quality textures and shaders using industry-standard tools.
• Collaborate with other artists and developers to integrate and troubleshoot 3D models within XR and experiential environments.

Our Must-Haves

• Proven experience in 3D modeling, texture painting, UV mapping, etc.. with a strong portfolio showcasing detailed character and environment work.
• Expertise in 3D scanning, photogrammetry, and model processing
• Familiarity with Unreal Engine and its workflows for integrating and optimizing 3D assets.
• Strong artistic sense with an eye for detail and realism.
• Proven knowledge of DSLR cameras
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and collaborative studio environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Proficient with tools like zBrush, Maya / Blender / Cinema 4D, Photoshop, and Redshift/Octane renderers.
• Expertise with RealityCapture for photogrammetry

Work Environment

• Must be able to tolerate busy environments and loud noise levels 
• Must be willing to work in drastic temperature climates when onsite at our events
• Must be willing to travel to work during evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines
• Must be willing to attend site visits and surveys with camera and scanning equipment.

Salary range: Depending on experience, the salary for this role could range anywhere from $80,000 - $150,000

* This is a hybrid role based out of our NYC office. You must be located within commuting distance of Brooklyn, NY to be considered for this role. You will be required to be in the office 3 days a week. *
