What are the responsibilities and job description for the High School English Teacher 2023-24 position at Magen David Yeshivah?
Magen David Yeshivah High School is looking for an High School English Teacher to teach writing skills, writing mechanics, and vocabulary. The teacher must have strong knowledge of the content areas as well as the writing workshop model.
Requirements:
The position calls for organizational skills, classroom management, effective instructional practices, and a willingness to collaborate with other team members as well as the Literacy Coach.
We believe that teachers are life-long learners, and therefore offer teachers on-going, collaborative professional development opportunities, in order to keep up to date with current best practices in education and have the greatest impact on their students.
In addition, communication is key in helping students reach their full potential and to this end, teachers at MDY are asked to have on-going communication with parents.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of either High school or College Level required
Master's Degree
