Co-Head Start Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Co-teacher to join our team. As a Co-teacher, you will work collaboratively with the lead teacher to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment for our students. Your role will involve assisting with lesson planning, implementing educational activities, and providing support to ensure the overall well-being and development of the children.

Duties:
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans
- Assist in creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Support students in their academic, social, and emotional growth
- Provide individualized attention and support to students as needed
- Foster a love for learning through engaging activities and interactive teaching methods
- Assist with classroom management, including behavior management strategies
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and any concerns

Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a preschool or childcare setting is preferred
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices
- Familiarity with literacy education and math concepts for young children
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Ability to effectively manage student behavior and create a positive learning environment
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with young children
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.57 - $19.96 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
