DEPARTMENT: Molding Production

Scope: Assemble or fabricate parts, pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications in a specific area of a production line in a manufacturing organization.

REPORTS TO: Shift Supervisor/Support Supervisor

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Communicate and collaborate with supervisor, support supervisor, quality control, material handlers, floor support
• Ensure that production activities are carried out in accordance with approved procedures and all production is dispositioned and approved
• Operates secondary equipment
• Visually inspect and ensure that the product is manufactured and packaged to customer specifications.
• Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Perform basic assembly functions, such as attaching accessories/components to a molded product.
• Perform any rework process that is required, which may include trimming, and cleaning.
• Package parts as needed, verify box count is correct, tape and label boxes as needed (Specific job requirements)
• Stack products and use pallet jacks to safely transport products.
• Ensure that scrap is minimized through process enhancements
• Effectively meet minimum production and quality standards; responsible for keeping pace with the standard time of the respective assembly standards.
• Timely and accurately complete all required production paperwork; accurately account for all scrap parts produced during the shift.
• Knowledge of safety rules in typical manufacturing/production areas.
• Ensure safe working practices are followed and all accidents, hazards, near misses, and property damage are reported in the required time
• Promote Safety and Quality and Environmental awareness
• Maintain general housekeeping standards throughout the plant by sorting, sweeping, and cleaning, or as otherwise instructed.
• Conduct all job duties with strict adherence to established operating procedures, safety requirements, including PPE and processes.
• Communicate with previous shift, relief, supervision and other operators to exchange information on process conditions and other pertinent issues; notify supervisor immediately if a problem arises at the machine (e.g. quality, safety, mechanical problem/defect).
• Perform any other duties assigned to support the team.
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Speak, Read and Understand English.
• Must have Reliable transportation to get to work daily. Any attendance issues in the first 90 days of employment may result in automatic end of assignment.
• Experience in a fast-paced, production-based warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Actively engages in a team-based environment.
• Must be able to learn and execute all work instructions, standard operating procedures, and quality practices/standards
• Demonstrated ability to direct, coach, and train associates as well as plan, monitor and schedule work
