Who We Are
Magical Teams is hiring for a Tech VA! We are a premium hiring and operations consultancy on a mission to help small businesses hire and manage their teams in a more effective, inclusive, and empowering way. We offer custom services as well as group workshops and programs. Our core values are kindness, communication, freedom, and leaning into our optimal zone of discomfort. Our CEO, Christina Salerno, has been building and supporting small businesses for over 15 years and is very passionate about mentoring and developing hidden talent. Our clientele are typically: mission driven and impact oriented, women founders or women in leadership, equity-centered and prioritize DEI, and have a high bar for quality efficiency. We’re looking for someone special to join our team as we’re growing fast and need to expand in order to keep up and optimize our success.
The Role Logistics
We need someone to provide operations support and coordination for our clients in a variety of areas. Our objective is to find the right people and create the ideal role for them/us so that we’re all doing what we love to do in support of our company goals.
This will be a part-time or full-time 1099 subcontractor position depending on your availability and areas of skills/interest. The compensation for this role is $20-$30 per hour depending on experience and skills. There is potential for growth with 30/60/90 day reviews to look at compensation increase and additional hours based on performance.
Someone in this role will collaborate with an operations strategist and admin assistant as part of each client “pod” team. While the operations strategist will assist with strategy and vision, the tech VA will be responsible for most of the “doing” with the help of the admin assistant.
This is a 100% remote position with flexible hours. Most of our clients/team are in EST hours, so you will need to be available for those working hours.

Responsibilities and Areas of Need
Below is a list of areas where we have gaps and need your help, in priority order.

- Determine the best use of systems/tools/processes for clients, outline the structure, then build them. This may include a wide variety of things; project management systems, communication platforms, payroll tools, landing pages, etc.
- Research new tech tools and make suggestions based on your findings.
- Gather feedback from client/client’s team and determine what’s working and what could be improved within their systems/processes we’ve built.
- Teach tech tools to clients and the best practices for implementing processes within those tools.
- Create and/or maintain SOPs, checklists, and other documentation for clear communication and optimized processes.
- Assist in the management of projects by creating a clear scope, delegating tasks, and overseeing timelines/budgets.
- Communicate regular updates on current tasks/projects with team members and our clients.
