Job Posting for QUALITY ENGINEER INTERN at MAGICK WOODS INC
SUMMARY:The goal of MagickWoods’ internship program is to allow students, studying in an engineering field, to gain valuable business & technical skills that may be applied to their curriculum and to their future career, while providing support to our Quality department. This internship allows students the opportunity to develop knowledge and skill-sets unique to the cabinet manufacturing industry and build strong analytical skills through the process of analyzing data, identifying patters, and drawing insights to inform quality improvement initiatives.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work Instruction and SOP Development:
Collaborate with quality team members to develop clear and comprehensive work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for various processes.
Conduct research and gather information to ensure accuracy and relevance of work instructions and SOPs.
Assist in the review and revision of existing work instructions and SOPs to improve clarity and effectiveness.
Data Analysis Development:
Work closely with the quality team to develop and implement data analysis techniques for quality assessment and improvement.
Utilize statistical tools and methods to analyze quality-related data and identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
Assist in the development of reports and dashboards to visualize key quality metrics and performance indicators.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate documentation of work instructions, SOPs, and data analysis methodologies.
Prepare reports and presentations summarizing findings, insights, and recommendations for quality improvement initiatives.
Collaboration and Learning:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gain exposure to different aspects of quality assurance and contribute to collaborative projects.
Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills in quality management and data analysis.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Statistics, or a related field.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Familiarity with statistical analysis tools (e.g., R, Python, Minitab) is a plus.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
