Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 depending on experience

The Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Coordinator (QHSE Manager) will report to the Plant Manager and Group QHSE Manager and will manage a small team of Quality Officers.
Job Overview
To effectively lead on all QHSE matters for the Alvin Facility and future manufacturing site. This will be an evolving role in a growing environment as the site begins producing various types of catalyst product. The job holder will be expected to reinforce all aspects of safety, environment, quality, processes and compliance, ensuring that processes are consistently being adhered to and standards are maintained and improved.
Responsibilities, Accountabilities and Duties
- Responsible for investigating any issues across all aspects of QHSE, and responding appropriately to external and internal stakeholders
- Lead, develop, coach and motivate a team of Quality Officers. Evaluate that their day-to-day activities are in line with the “competency framework”, creating and implementing individual development plans for each of them
- To attend weekly production meetings, reporting and raising all quality issues and concerns
- Responsible for collating production data from the day and night shifts, through analysis ensure data is correct before producing a report to senior leaders
- Internal auditing to include all aspects of quality, health safety and environment
- Develop maintenance schedules and ensure that remedial action is undertaken where necessary
- Interfaces daily with the Plant Manager and the Chief Operating Office for all site QHSE matters
- Monitor SPC charts to ensure processes are in control, investigate and take corrective action if not
- Collation and reporting of QHSE data, including incident investigation and continual improvement
Skills
- Strong manufacturing background
- Knowledge of working within an ISO environment with integrated ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 systems.
- Degree in Occupational health and safety or other relevant qualification
- Expertise in working with and interpreting US Regulatory bodies and polices such as OSHA, DOT & EPA.
- Superior communication skills and the ability and confidence to tackle remedial issues and drive towards resolutions.
- Knowledge of Office with a strong Excel capability.
- Lean/Six Sigma - desirable
