Magnify has an exciting new role looking for a Controller for our Richmond area client's accounting teams!

You will be responsible for executing, streamlining, and continuously improving accounting processes and the month end close process. Also prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information. Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions, and resolving discrepancies. Supports senior management with analysis, reporting, budgeting, auditing, and controls.
Primary responsibilities:
- Guides financial decisions of a company by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
- Works directly with CFO on planning and strategy
- Oversees cashflow and internal controls
- Establishes, monitors, and enforces internal controls
- Monitors financial performance of the company including budget management
- Compile and analyze financial reporting packages
- Communicates financial results to managements
- Responsible for supervisor of accounting staff
- Direct and review monthly, quarterly, and year-end close acting as point of contact for external auditors
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or Masters in Business, Finance, or related field
- 3 years’ experience
- Experience with multi unit entities, cost allocation and report consolidation
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and processes
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- CPA is highly preferred
