TITLE: Certified Nursing Assistant
REPORTS TO: Nursing Management Team
METHOD OF PAY: Hourly

PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The primary purpose of the position is to provide physical and emotional care to our residents at all times in a clean, friendly, and safe environment. The CNA will provide daily direct care to residents. This includes but is not limited to assistance with medication, bathing, dressing and grooming; food consumption; transferring and ambulating.
ROLE and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides for the residents’ health needs, including determining measurements accurately as assigned (vital signs, intake, output)
- Adheres to Magnolia Manor’s established Infection Control Procedures.
- Ensures proper documentation is maintained; recording accurate, legible information about resident care and condition per facility practices; and responding to any call light or emergency alarm.
- Communicates notable changes to nurse management.
- Attend and participate in classes to maintain current certification as a C.N.A. (12 hours per year).
- Attend all meetings and in-services designated as mandatory.
- Attend and participate in annual and OSHA and CDC training programs, as well as annual disaster training.
- Assist with orientation of new employees as instructed by your supervisor

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Preferred High School Diploma or its equivalent or enrolled in ongoing education.
- Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia.
