What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Position position at Magnum Companies?
Summary: The Maintenance Associate is responsible for the overall maintenance of all facilities, grounds, and parking lots in Fargo. This includes everything on 7th Ave N, 40th St NW, and 12th Ave N: the corporate building, the main Warehouse, the Safety building, the Trailer Shop, LTL, the Tractor Shop, MagWest Warehouse, and rental facilities. Typical hours are Monday-Friday 0600-1430
Specific Duties (Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) and Work Characteristics: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each major job function and job duty satisfactorily. This individual must possess self-motivation skills and be dependable and trustworthy. He/she must possess skills to problem solve, communicate effectively, and multi-task efficiently.
Major Job Functions: “To meet and exceed company goals and objectives” --Including, but not limited to—
- Completing daily tasks as directed by Management
- Cleaning Break rooms at Magcorp location
- Disinfect counters/tables
- Spot clean stove, oven, refrigerator, freezer, microwave, cabinets for spills and restrooms when needed.
- Empty trash can(s)
- Restock paper towels, dish soap, Styrofoam cups, etc.
- Empty trash can(s)
- Restock paper towels, toilet paper, copy paper etc.
- Maintain all walkways, exterior doors and powered gates for clear operation (snow & vegetation)
- Replacing light bulbs and ballasts, as needed
- Loading dock leveler and door maintenance and light repairs
- Mowing lawn(s) and other landscaping during applicable seasons – maintain landscape trim bushes and replace as needed…Sprinkler systems at all facilities
- Maintaining fence lines for weeds and condition of fence and gates
- Shoveling, moving snow with the snowblower, salting, sanding, etc. during applicable seasons
- Emptying recycle bins and dropping at designated centers
- Shopping at Sam’s Club and/or Menards for necessary supplies to complete tasks and as requested
- Coordinating with outside contractors including, but not limited to, electricians, plumbers, and cleaning associates contacts will be provided.
- Walk ground to ensure cleanliness of properties…. point of contact for all maintenance needs at corporate.
- Annual carpet, tile cleaning. Strip and seal vct(tile)

Education/ Training: High school diploma and valid driver’s license required. Experience operating a skid steer a plus..
Computer Skills: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and internet knowledge preferred.
