Work Description:
Responsible for Accounts Payable in processing company payables. Most of these requests come in via email, so a large part of the position will be working within Outlook and with digital invoices.
- Assist in processing accounts payable invoices
- Communicate with department managers regarding status of invoice approvals
- Scan invoices that are received as hard copies in to the Accounts Payable drives for further processing
- Respond to vendor requests for remittance advices
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent problem solving/judgment skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Analytical skills, including research, ability to interpret data, ability to analyze information
- Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure
- Advance knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate with various levels of management
- Proven knowledge of standard payroll concepts, practices, and procedures
- Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations.
Physical Demands:
- Sit up to 2/3 of workday
- Close, distance, and peripheral vision
- Ability to communicate orally (requires ability to hear and speak aloud)
- Repetitive motion using hands and wrists and manual dexterity required up to 2/3 of workday (typing, writing, etc.)
