Responsibilities:
Under the direct direction of the Purchasing Manager, source and purchase repair components related to current needs. Work day-to-day with suppliers and inventory to validate shop needs for purchasing.
Technical Buyer
Pay: $25-28 starting pay based on experience
Hours: Business hours – Monday-Friday
Direct Hire – Permanent Position
Job Description:
· Source repair components specific to Spindle Repair
· Drive continuous improvement in supplier quality performance
· Prepare accurate purchase orders and send copies to suppliers as needed
· Determine if inventory quantities are sufficient for needs, ordering more materials if necessary
· Respond and adapt to customer priority changes as needed
· Contact suppliers to schedule, expedite deliveries, resolve shortages, and missed or late deliveries
· Work with technical staff to identify suitable substitutions as necessary
· Verify inventory values by comparing them to physical stock counts, investigate discrepancies and adjust errors.
Job Requirements:
· This candidate must have 3-5 years of previous experience
· Excellent organizational skills
· Strong negotiation and cost management skills
· Strong computer skills
· Knowledge of Precision Bearings and some electronics is a plus
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
· Ability to multitask
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
